C.O.N.E.

Coalition on the Niagara Escarpment is a coalition of 30 environmental organizations and hundreds of individual citizens. It was formed in 1978 and has worked consistently for the protection of the Escarpment and its many values to Ontario society (from CONE website). CONE has concerns about the expansion of Dufferin Aggregates' Halton Quarry.

CCC

The Coalition of Concerned Citizens is committed to ensuring good land use planning in Caledon - particularly associated with defeating the Rockfort quarry application.

COPE

Citizens Opposed to Paving the Escarpment is a group of people who have come together to fight the development and destruction of the Niagara Escarpment (from their web page). They are particularly apposed to the Provincial Government's proposed Mid-Peninsula Highway.

CORE

Conserve Our Rural Environment. Mono Mulmur Citizen's Coalition opposing "a 200 acre gravel pit in the Christmas tree farm across from the Little Tract Forest Preserve on Airport Road."

FORCE

Friends of Rural Communities and the Environment (FORCE) is a citizen-based advocacy group that has formed to protect our local communities and environment and to oppose the proposed Lowndes aggregate operation on 11th Concession East.

SARAH HARMER

As one of the founding members of PERL, Juno Award winning musician, Sarah Harmer has a long history of environmental activism. Sarah's web site has some interesting information on the issues PERL faces and a link to purchase her new single "Escarpment Blues". Proceeds from the sale of the new single will help protect our natural environment!

Oakville Green

Oakvillegreen Conservation Association is a non-profit environmental organization working to ensure that Oakville becomes a sustainable, healthy community

Water Keeper

Lake Ontario Waterkeeper fulfills its mission by educating the public about Lake Ontario and the Great Lakes Basin and by conducting research and public education activities on behalf of the watershed. Our goal is to restore and protect Lake Ontario's natural resources, as well as contribute to its aesthetic, social recreational and economic values.

Gravel Watch

Gravel Watch Ontario acts in the interests of residents and communities to protect the health, safety, quality of life of Ontarians and the natural environment in matters that relate to aggregate resources.

Environmental Defence

Environmental Defence protects the environment and human health. We research solutions. We educate. We go to court when we have to. All in order to ensure clean air, clean water and thriving ecosystems nationwide, and to bring a halt to Canada's contribution to climate change. In addition to being instrumental in the organization of the Green Gravel Campaign, a lawyer with ED also provides legal assistance to PERL.

BurlingtonGreen  

Based in Burlington, Ontario, Canada, BurlingtonGreen is a non-profit, non-partisan, environmental group. Through Awareness raising, Advocacy and Action, we aim to mobilize individuals, groups and governments to make Burlington a leader in creating a healthy, environmentally responsible city. 

Carolinian Canada  

Carolinian Canada is a non-profit coalition of over 40 government and non-government conservation groups and many individuals working to conserve the ecological diversity of Canada's most threatened natural region.
