TWO OF THREE TRANSPLANTED ENDANGERED BUTTERNUTS DEAD!!
On a sad note, the JART (Joint Agency Review Team) report suggests that two of the three endangered Butternut Trees that were transplanted as part of an illegal site alteration by Nelson Aggregate have now died.
PERL is seeking confirmation of this from it's ecological experts. When asked to comment, PERL's representative would only say that "This is further proof that human tampering with mother nature is fraught with uncertainty and peril. Humans are capable of great things, but we must be cautious that we don't get over confident. There is much we still have to learn."

PERL's representative went on to say "The death of these trees serves to strenghthen our resolve to prevent this proposal from being approved. If they are willing to tamper with the potential health of an endangered species, I can't imagine trusting our water resource and the future health of the MT Nemo ecosystem to this quarry operator"
